Lizzy Robinson
Lizzy is an artist based in Austin, Texas where she lives with her husband, Seth, and dog, TJ. She currently works full-time as a middle school science teacher and pursues her artistic endeavors in her free time. Growing up, Lizzy’s mom always said she was most skilled at the trade of making messes; however, Lizzy would argue that she loved creating objects and spaces that could be appreciated by and with people. Whether that was a tiny home out of cardboard boxes or a bike ramp in the road for her friends in the neighborhood to play with, Lizzy desired finding ways to make things that she could proudly celebrate in the company of those she loved. For much of her life, she’s used making as a creative outlet, and from time to time, to show gratitude towards others. However, recently she’s decided to turn this “making” pastime into a little business. Lizzy is currently drawn to black and white pointillism; however, she has also been greatly inspired by German expressionist painter, Gabriele Münter. Her goal as a part-time artist is to create pieces of art that resonate with all sorts of people, while prioritizing sustainability practices in the making.
